Racism all over the World
Racism is
one of the problems that people continue to face in the world. Racism is
present in all phases of our world. Even in the Philippines, racism is present.
An example of Racism in the Philippines is when “Luzon People meet a Mindanao
Person” they would probably tell you that “Mindanao People are not education,
we live in the mountain, we are MILF and we are not fluent in speaking the English
language”. Racism is one of the social problems that are still not
resolve even though there are a lot of people advocating for it to stop.
Inequality among races is very evident in America. America is obviously known
as the melting point of different races; however, there are still racist people
present in the United States of America.
In
ever action there is an absolute consequence or effects. Racism has effects on
people. In the United States of America, these minorities are discriminated in
every aspect of their lives. These effects are commonly seen on social
relationships, income and education. In an article by Wakefield (2009), he
briefly explained the status of racism in America before up to present. Racism
is already a part of the United State’s of America’s history. It all started
from the slavery days, the Civil war up to the Civil Rights Movement of Jim
Crow. When Obama was elected as the 44th president, it was indeed a
historical event, especially when people were expecting that Hilary Clinton
will represent the Democratic Party. With Obama being chosen as the president,
some people believed that it really is a sign that racism in America has
already met its ending.
