December 3, 2012 Typhoon Pablo was expected to arrive at
Cagayan de Oro City and do some damage in the city. PAG-ASA said that Pablo is
stronger than Sendong, who have really made a mark in the hearts of the
Kagayanons because of what it did in the city of cagayan de oro. When Pablo was
about to landfall in CDO, people were already prepared for it. People evacuated
to higher lands and some went to evacuation centers while others stayed in the
hotels. It started raining at 2:00am of December 3; almost all people listen to
the news about Pablo to keep them updated. Soon as Pablo landfall in Cagayan de
Oro, there were no casualties happen. Cagayan de Oro officials reported that
there is 0 casualties in the city. This simply means that people already learn
from their mistakes from sendong, because when sendong hits CDO, all people
were not alarm of its arrival and some people ignore the tropical storm. Pablo also
left a mark in CDO; houses were flooded, many trees fell because of its strong
wind, many people lost their livestock livelihood. But we are still thankful
that no one died in this typhoon, by simple praying and having faith in God. He
save us from the harm that Pablo was bringing.

Xavier Days 2012
XU Days is one big event
in XU that is so fun to watch because of the events that they have. XU days
2012 for me is so disappointing because my expectation for the event is so high
because hopefully this will be my last year in XU. I was hoping that it will be
really a fun exciting XU days for me. First problem was, we were suppose to
open our business Master Soya in the tent which is located in the Soccer Field,
but when we transferred our stall the tent that was rented for us was not big
enough to accommodate all of us. Second,
I think this year’s XU days have fewer events compared to the other XU days.
For 2 nights all I have been seeing was people watched movies in the field. But
I was really impressed in the closing night of XU days. The field was mob by so
many people and the dance contest brought a lot of attention to the people.
What was really exciting was the countdown for the fireworks, when it came down
to the last 10 seconds people were now filming and waiting for the fireworks to
start, which lasted for about 10-15 minutes. I must that this XU Days was not
really that Bad. Cheers XU !

Computer Addiction
Every
night is a battle of sleep or computer. You are always tempted to turn on the
computer and surf the web. Many people have lack of sleep because of using the
computer. I admit that me; myself is a computer addict. I have been lacking of
sleep everyday because when I saw my computer I would likely turn it on and
play computer games. Every day I only have 5-6 hours of sleep, I finish using
computer 1-2:00 am and my class starts at 10:20am. Since high school I’ve been
playing dota until then I have stopped playing it this is one reason my I have
become so addicted to the computer. Every time I wake up in the morning I
regret that I have stay late that night because of dota. I still want to sleep
but I still have to prepare to go to school. My dad told me not to stay awake
late at night because it will affect your metabolism and your lifestyle. The
longest time that I was still awake for playing computer was 4:00am then I slept
for 2 hours then played computer. Now I have been trying to be control myself
in using the computer less at night. :D
This is somehow connected to my picture in my BLOG :P

Post Grad
Many of
us are now excited to receive their diploma. Time for graduation is fast approaching,
in few days time it’s already graduation. We will be practicing for our
graduation rite, parties will be prepare, throwing of caps will happen, missing
all of your friends after graduation. Few weeks after our graduation we will
try to think of what’s next in our journey. Will I be able to have work
already? Will I be somebody who finish school but doesn’t have any work? Will I
be like some graduate students who died because of accident during their trip
with fellow colleague?
My plan
after graduation is not yet well I really don’t have a plan yet. HAHA my dad
says that I should be a sales representative of a company. My mom said that I
should start reducing my weight for me to be presentable in job interviews.
What I have in my mind is to start a business, maybe give myself a 1 month
break after graduation. I’ve always like to have a work just like my father,
his in the pharmaceutical field.
But for
now, I would like to focus on what I am facing right now because it’s always a
cause and effect chain. When you are entirely focusing about your future you’ll
forget about what you are dealing right now and it can lead to ruining your
future. :D

Racism all over the World
Racism all over the World
Racism is
one of the problems that people continue to face in the world. Racism is
present in all phases of our world. Even in the Philippines, racism is present.
An example of Racism in the Philippines is when “Luzon People meet a Mindanao
Person” they would probably tell you that “Mindanao People are not education,
we live in the mountain, we are MILF and we are not fluent in speaking the English
language”. Racism is one of the social problems that are still not
resolve even though there are a lot of people advocating for it to stop.
Inequality among races is very evident in America. America is obviously known
as the melting point of different races; however, there are still racist people
present in the United States of America.
In
ever action there is an absolute consequence or effects. Racism has effects on
people. In the United States of America, these minorities are discriminated in
every aspect of their lives. These effects are commonly seen on social
relationships, income and education. In an article by Wakefield (2009), he
briefly explained the status of racism in America before up to present. Racism
is already a part of the United State’s of America’s history. It all started
from the slavery days, the Civil war up to the Civil Rights Movement of Jim
Crow. When Obama was elected as the 44th president, it was indeed a
historical event, especially when people were expecting that Hilary Clinton
will represent the Democratic Party. With Obama being chosen as the president,
some people believed that it really is a sign that racism in America has
already met its ending.
I will be
posting my own blog because it’s a requirement for my subject to do so. Please
help me pass this subject by just viewing and reading what i post :)). This is
taken from my Term Paper :)) Please view this post. It will be a great help for
me to graduate.
